Recently, the Lagos state government revealed a new traffic decongestion strategy.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Muslim Folami, said 148 street gates will be destroyed.

According to him, demolishing these gates would "improve security, free flow of traffic, safety of lives and properties of all citizens in the State."

A whopping 86.7% said they approve, while the minority, 13.3%, were against it.
