Online classifieds platform partners with MoMo, police to ensure site safety

Leading online classifieds platform, OLX, has partnered with Mobile Monday Nigeria (MoMo), a global community of mobile industry developers and influential individuals who facilitate business cooperation across borders in a conference themed “Making E-Commerce more secure in Nigeria.”

“The partnership with MoMo is to further enhance OLX commitment to keeping the site safe and secure for its users,” said Lola Masha, County Manager, OLX on the partnership.

“Working closely with the Nigeria Police Force, OLX has been able to catch two scammers on the site, showing our dedication to keeping OLX users safe and ensuring that every user experiences a smooth transaction on the site,” she added.

Also speaking on the partnership, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Charles Okafor said that “the Nigerian Police Force is actively working with OLX to ensure online offenders (scammers) are caught and brought to justice”.

The CSP also commended OLX on the company’s dedication to keeping both its site and customers safe from scammers and people intent on using the platform to carry out nefarious activities.
