Muni Shonibare, founder of IO Furniture and one of Nigeria’s leading interior designers joined My Africa to share her life story – speaking at Harvard on business, the challenges young entrepreneurs in Africa face and what the future holds for women across the continent. As someone who has risen to the top, Muni’s advice will be invaluable to young women all over Africa.
Muni studied interior design in Florence, Italy, where she spent some years developing her skills and forging links to the Italian design industry. IO Furniture was founded in 1987 as Interior Options. Since re-branding in 2008, Muni Shinobare’s company has gone on to perform a number of leading renovations in Nigeria, including the 700 room Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
