Since Google took over Motorola, it has focused its efforts on creating phones to fill the needs of specific groups of people, especially low budget phones.

Moto X- This was the very first Motorola phone. It's a phone that isn't exactly bulky and is packed with innovative features like touchless control. However, this phone didn't record much sales.

Moto G- This is the next generation Motorola phone. It is low-cost, durable and with a classy software experience- a budget smartphone that easily competed with phones twice its price. It sold well, becoming Motorola’s best seller ever.

The Moto E-  Moto E aims to be the first smartphone for a group of consumers that have not been able to afford to buy a smartphone before. This is Motorola’s lowest-end and likely to be the last Google-owned phone as negotiation is on with Lenovo.
