Modern Toilet Restaurant was born in a toilet by one of the owners, Dr. Slump.

He came up with the idea of selling food in containers shaped like a squat toilet and urinals.

Debuted in 2004, the successful restaurant is now in 12 different locations in Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and Japan.

Personally, i think the concept of eating food from miniature plastic toilet bowls or having desserts named “diarrhea with dried droppings (chocolate ice cream), “bloody poop” (strawberry ice cream), is just revolting.

However, others think differently as you can see from the following reviews.

There is no doubt that the idea is very creative but the result does not work for me.

I rate it a 4/10.
