How to make this year's Valentine day special against all odds

Those that are in relationships and want to spend Valentine’s Day together, are faced with the conflicting interests due to the fact that February 14 is a working day, Ash Wednesday, Champions League Match day and also the much anticipated lover’s day. So what gives?

If he is a die-hard football buff, then planning a late dinner will probably not benefit both of you because the whole point Valentine’s Day is making your partner happy after all, so find a common ground. If you know he would definitely not be happy if he forfeits watching this particular match then maybe taking out time to plan a full day that ends before 5pm, so that he has enough time to get home and watch his match.

You can plan a romantic lunch with all the candles and flowers and whatsoever (that is if you are the planner in the relationship) if you aren’t you can just inform him you want lunch instead of a dinner so that he can watch his match, that way he can spend quality time with the two loves of his life you and football and I am sure he will thank you for it.

And if you insist on dinner well you can always have it somewhere he may have an access to the television and if you love football well no worries then you can enjoy the game and enjoy dinner together.

For those sisters that do not like sharing well ask him if he can forfeit the match and spend quality time with you, do not just assume he should not all guys are Mr. Romantic some just need the push and good communication helps all situations.

If she insist on going for Ash Wednesday service why not accompany her if you can, not every time romantic getaways and dinners sometimes the house of God, if you are Christian at least.

If you are a football lover and that causes a problem in your relationship you can forfeit watching the game just to give her all your attention, love is about compromise after all and you can always keep up with live scores, she will love you more and appreciate the gesture. Especially since it’s a working day a relaxing dinner may not be a bad idea.

Showering her with gifts always works, for those that can afford such extravagance buying her flowers, gift boxes, and whatever thing you think she may love will make her feel really loved and appreciated. There are also inexpensive gifts you can purchase for her.

For the busy couples who are most likely not going to be with each on that day could always celebrate together when they can both make out time but in the meantime they can send each other gifts, whereas no one said you need just one day to express your love for each other. It is the season to prove your love for your partner so do not let small obstacles stop you from making that special someone happy.
