Tribunal nullifies election of PDP Senator, Bashir Marafa

The election tribunal in Taraba State has nullified the victory of Senator Bashir Marafa in the 2015 elections.

Marafa contested the elections, to represent the Taraba Central Senatorial District, on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The tribunal further ordered that All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Yusuf A Yusuf be declared rightful winner of the election.

Marafa had been declared winner of the polls after supposedly winning 43,582 votes to defeat Yusuf, who polled 38, 620 votes.
