Mudashiru Obasa elected House of Assembly Speaker

Mudashiru Obasa has emerged as the new Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Obasa, the representative for Agege Constituency 1, was elected on Monday, June 8, 2015.

Earlier elections for the position were postponed along with the inauguration of the new Assembly due to the intense jostling within the legislators for the position.

Obasa, who was elected unopposed, is believed to enjoy the support of All Progressives Congress (APC) leader, Bola Tinubu.
