The Beninese legendary singer gets the second Grammy of her illustrious career.

Beninese singer Angelique Kidjo won her second Grammy yesterday, Sunday February 8, 2015.

She won the award for her album which has been described as a musical tribute to African women.
In her acceptance speech she thanked the women of Africa.
“Women of Africa — you rock!. For me, music is a weapon of peace, and today more than ever, as artists we have a role to play in the stability of this world" said the singer when accepting her award.
The album Eve is based off the harmonies of women's choirs recorded by the Angelique Kidjo.

The 57 year old Angelique Kidjo won her first Grammy in 2007 for her album Djin Djin.
