Google Search has a new feature that makes it possible to arrange your entire holiday (flights, accommodation, itinerary etc.) from just a single search.

You can start from a very broad (Google's video demo suggests Europe), and then go deeper into cities and places, pricing on hotel rooms and flights, all of which are simplified for broad dates which you can specify further if need be.

Once you have selected a Destination page, the search weaves descriptions together with photos and media, as well as routes it recommends for you to cover multiple sites in a day.

Google says its highlights are a combination of algorithm-based and editorially-picked suggestions and initial searches can be narrowed down to specific countries or cities.

The New York Times discovered that flight prices are based on flying from where you're searching from since there is no way to plan journeys without including your current location at this point.

Another useful part is the "explore" tab, which gives you an annual readout of the weather as well as when your destination is popular, based on historic visits of other travelers.

It may not have the finesse of a dedicated guide but it does make the entire process possible on a smartphone - which is what its designed for.

Execs at Hotels.ng, Jovago, Wakanow and the rest them are probably crossing their fingers that Google's new trip-maker is quite similar to their platforms.
