How Nigeria Voted: Full list of states Tinubu, Atiku, Obi won

On Wednesday morning, March 01, 2023, the International Collation Centre in Abuja saw the announcement of Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, as the president-elect by the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmood Yakubu.

Yakubu revealed that Tinubu achieved victory by scoring a total of 8,794,726 votes, surpassing his closest opponents, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), who secured 6,984,520 and 6,101,533 votes, respectively.

Tinubu is set to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari, following the recent presidential election held throughout the country.

The election took place last Saturday, February 25, 2023, and the top three contenders, Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi, each emerged victorious in 12 states.
