Employee Steals N2 Billion From T.Y. Danjuma

The police have charged an employee of former Defence Minister, Theophilus Danjuma to court after he allegedly stole N2 Billion.

Manasseh Obadiah Zorto, who is currently on the run, has been accused of defrauding Tita-Kuru Petrochemicals Ltd, T.Y Holdings Ltd and Central Realities Ltd of the large sum of money.

A charge filed in court stated that Zorto used his position as executive director and special assistant, finance and investment to the chairman of the companies (Danjuma) to carry out the fraud.

He is said to have taken separate sums of N1.6 billion and $121, 468.

However, he could not be arraigned in court because of his absence. The case was adjourned till October 2, 2014.
