English Premier League legend Frank Lampard has kicked off training with his new team New York FC.
The former Chelsea and Manchester City midfielder signed for the MLS side last year but spent a year on loan in England.
Lampard took part in his first training session with his new teammates on Wednesday, July 1.
The 37-year-old shared a photo of himself and David Villa.
"First day at training with @davidvilla. Thanks to him and all the lads for making me feel so welcome. I can't wait to get started with you all! #nycfc," he wrote alongside the photo.
The former England international is expected to make his New York City debut against Toronto at the Yankee Stadium on July 12.
He was also pictured being put through his paces by a trainer on Tuesday as jogged around New York's Central Park.
Juventus veteran midfielder, Andrea Pirlo who was at the stadium last weekend to watch the derby game against New York Red Bulls is undefined.
