7 useful tips to making the perfect batch
Any sweet/dessert lover can attest to the fact that no kitchen/fridge is complete without a generous serving of chocolate chip cookies.
While various biscuit brands offer various chocolate chip cookie options, home made cookies will always have a special place in our hearts.
So, since we're all about do-it-yourself (DIY) recipes, we thought to share the perfect tips to making the perfect cookies.
Check out these useful tips courtesy Popsugar.
1. Keep all your ingredients (butter, eggs) at room temperature before baking as this will ensure everything is easy to mix. A quick way to soften your butter is to pop it in a microwave or grate it.
2. Skip the all-purpose flour for bread flour. This will make the cookies thicker and chewier.
3. Use brown sugar for softer, thicker, butterscotch-flavored cookies, or you can also use granulated sugar for flat, thin and crisp cookies.
4. If you like the taste of chocolate and coffee, add a pinch of instant coffee granules.
5. Use an ice cream scoop to help measure an equal amount of dough in each cookie.
6. Avoid opening the oven to take a peak as this can cause the cookies to flatten.
7. Top the finished good with a dash of salt for a sophisticated finish.
