One week, one trouble should be the right way to explain what the senator elect-Buruji Kashamu is going through right now.
Currently, Kashamu is involved in another imbroglio, involving land owners in Ogombo, Lagos state.
He has been accused of forging documents to take possession of 300 acres land in the Ogombo area of Lagos state by the family of Late Chief Ambali Bakare.
Speaking with journalists at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Press Centre, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta, the spokesperson of the family- Shafiudeen Bakare, said: “we are here to speak to the world on the fraudulent purchase of our land at Ajah by Buruji Kashamu under the business name of Bukas Kasmal International Ltd. We have been deprived of this land, and we have come to raise alarm.”
He also added that “When some of those who purchased the land took him to court, the court ruled that we, the original owners should be in court and not a third party. So, we have been making arrangements to revisit the case by heading for the courts to get justice.”
Speaking on why it took them too long to speak up, they said they believed it was time for truth to take its stand.
