With the overall hype hitting huge levels, and creating anticipation, the event lived up to its top billing with a combination of the best music performances, creative and enthralling dancing, and showmanship from the organizers, Motbenson.
Among the top performers were Chocolate City who held the crowd spellbound for over an hour. Africa’s top record label was out in full, with performances from their top acts.
Nosa, Milli, Dice, Koker, Pryse, Jesse Jagz, DJ Caise, DJ Lambo, Loose Kaynon, Ruby Gyang, Victoria Kimani, Jesse Jagz, and M.I Abaga.
Ice Prince was conspicuously missing.
The entire crew performed their hit songs, with Nosa opening the proceedings, and a combination of M.I and Jesse Jagz rounded things off.
Other acts to perform on the night included YCee and his 'Jagaban’ stardust, Chuddy K got the crowd wild, and a number of rising stars, represented by the charming Immaculate,Sossi and Sefiya. Other performances on the night were given by G4, Ink Edwards, Brain and others.
The show was hosted by top MC and Hypeman for D'banj, Jimmie Akinsola, with the party kept alive by the mastery of the DJ, whose control of sound, rhythm and bounce, kept the show ticking over nicely.
Adekunle Gold also has emerged the winner of the Beat Of Lagos 2015.
The singer scooped the award for his song ‘Sade’ which was voted by residents of Lagos as the song which has the most impact on their playlists so far in the calendar year.
The singer came onstage to a rapturous reception by fans, and received the honor. Another interesting reward which comes with the gong, is a plot of land in Lekki Free Trade Xone, Lagos.
