Chuba Akpom scored a hat-trick in Arsenal under-21 4-0 win over Brighton FC on Monday, something no Arsenal striker has done in recent, except Welbeck in the UEFA Champions League game against Galatasaray on October 1.

Akpom began his scoring spree with the Gunners one goal up from a Glen Kamara opener; first from a lpa-in run from an elaborate corner; second from a lobby past England U-20 goalkeeper Christian Walton in the Brighton goal before finishing the treble from the spot.

The 19 year-old has been a huge talk in Arsenal camp with moves for the player breaking down in recent times; he is gradually building up into a player that could help out in the first team attacking line-up; more especially as Arsene Wenger needs to convince his critics beyond reason with goals banging in the opposition’s goal area that he is indeed the fit manager for Arsenal.
