The official CAF Twitter page tweeted: "Our hearts go out to #TeamCotedIvoire goalkeeper Badra Ali Sangaré who lost his father earlier today. Stay strong."
The 35-year-old only assumed the No. 1 jersey after Sylvain Gbohouo was banned for doping violations
Sangaré made headlines on Sunday when his calamitous error in stoppage time led to an Alhaji Kamara goal which saw the Elephants share the spoils against Sierra Leone following a 2-2 draw.
