According Toyin Abraham, the film’s producer and lead actor, production is set to kick off in a few months.

Abraham dropped the exclusive confirmation during a Pulse interview held on Monday, March 2, 2020 where she opened up about her upcoming projects. She however remained tight lipped on further questions about the film.

Although ‘The Ghost and the Tout’ struggled with critical acclaim, the Samuel 'Big Sam' Olatunji and Abraham collaboration became a massive hit after its May 2018 premiere, opening with N30 million. It remains one of Nollywood’s highest grossing films at number 17 spot with a total of N80 million in box office earnings.

The story, written by Charles Uwagbai, is based on Isila (Toyin Abraham) who becomes burdened with a strange ability to communicate with a ghost named Mike (Sambasa Nzeribe). She later helps him bring his killers to book.
