American rapper, Lizzo is set to release a shapewear collection for women of all sizes

Lizzo new shapewear is called Yitty [Instagram/Businessoffashion]

Lizzo is releasing shapewear called 'Yitty' for women of different sizes on April 12th having spent her career advocating for women to be comfortable in their bodies.

Lizzo's Yitty is like Kim Kardashian's Skim [Instagram/Businessoffasion] Pulse Nigeria

“I’m selling a mentality that ‘I can do what I want with my body, wear what I want and feel good while doing it,’” she told The New York Times.

She announced it on her Instagram page. Here was her caption, "this is a love letter to my big grrrls, and a welcome letter to Everybody. This is *not* an invitation to change who you are… this is an opportunity to BE who you are on your terms. I don’t know about y’all— but I’m sick of people telling me how I’m supposed to look and feel about my body. I’m tired of discomfort being synonymous with sexy. If it’s uncomfortable TAKE IT OFF.”

Lizzo’s Yetty will be in partnership with Fabletics.

Shapewear is fast becoming a necessary fashion item. They are comfortable undergarments that make clothes fit.

Before Skims - Kim Kardashian's shapewear, there was the shapewear company, Spanx, which introduced intimate, soft fabric that makes outfits fit and are more comfortable than lingerie and other undergarments.

Big ups to Lizzo for making women - especially plus-sized women feel more comfortable in their bodies.
