The awards which went down on Sunday night, November 4th at the Bizkaia Arena, Bilbao in Spain, saw Tiwa Savage emerging victorious ahead of the likes of Davido, Distruction Boyz (South Africa), Fally Ipupa (DRC), Nyashinnski (Kenya) and Shekinah (South Africa).

This win makes Tiwa Savage the first female artist to achieve this honour, one she dedicated to her fans, label boss, Don Jazzy and son Jamil.

One person who has come out to celebrate the MAVIN diva is her rumoured partner Wizkid, who they both shut down the internet recently following her appearance in his much publicized 'Fever' video.

The Starboy posted a message on his Instagram page on Monday, November 5th with the caption, ''Yes!! God bless ya! Congratulations.''

Congratulatory messages have also been pouring in from her legion of fans on social media celebrating the feat which adds to the great year that she has enjoyed.
