Wizkid, Wande Coal, Kranium and more deliver commanding performances at concert

Earlier in June, the London edition of the One Africa Music Fest, put together by Paul Okoye of Upfront and Personal Global Management Consultants featured a rich line up of A-list artistes from around the continent, who took to the stage to give festival lovers a night to remember.

On Saturday, August 11, the train moved to the Ford Amphitheater in New York, with the festival parading Wizkid as the headline act, alongside other African superstars in Wande Coal, Niniola, Skales, Cassper Nyovest, Vanessa Mdee, Flavour, Tekno, Sarkodie, Diamond Platnumz, Fiokee with Jamaican dance-hall act Kranium also making an appearance.

The festival witnessed early performances from the likes of Seyi Shay, Niniola, who performed Mbilo Mbilo remix alongside Uganda's Eddy Kenzo and got locked in a dance tangle, Kranium got the crowd going with his hit single, 'We Can', while Sarkodie came next singing 'Halleluyah'.

Wande Coal's 'Iskaba' was an anthem in the hall, and he also performed 'My Woman, My Everything', with Flavour Nabania also delivering a stellar set with his live band.

Wizkid's set was however the one to see. A number of those who attended the festival had turned up to catch a glimpse of the Star boy and the noise that cheered his entrance on stage was close to deafening levels.

Dressed in an all red outfit, Wizkid ran through tracks from his old and new projects like, 'Don't Dull', 'Baba Nla', 'Ojuelegba', 'Soco', 'Manya' 'Fake Love' and more, never missing a step.

He also brought out Afro B on stage as they performed the smashing single, 'Joanna' remix,

His energy was on point as he moved from one end of the stage to the other, rocking some 'Shaku Shaku' moves and engaging the crowd as he delivered some of his favourite anthems.

As the event drew to a close, the fans were left fully sated as the artists who performed on the night all ensured that African music left its mark on the city of New York.
