Toyin Aimakhu wins Best Actress for "Alakada Reloaded"

Toyin Aimakhu beat Adesua Etomi, Dakore Akande, Rahama Sadau, Osas Ajibade to win the 2017 ELOY Best Actress for "Alakada Reloaded."

She won the award for her role as Yetunde Animashaun in the 2017 star-studded comedy movie

The actress beat out Osas Ajibade (Little Drops of Happy), Adesua Etomi (The Wedding Party), Omuwunmi Dada (Omugwo), Chigurl (Banana Island Ghost), Dakore Akande (Isoken), Rahama Sadau (Hakkunde) and Mary Lazarus (Dance to my Beat) for the award.

"Alakada Reloaded" revolves around Yetunde Animashaun, a young girl who is from a poor family background. As a result of her inferiority complex, she engages in the act of making up stories and lying about her financial and social status in order to fit in with the crowd.

The third production in the "Alakada" series, the movie starred the actress alongside Lilian Esoro, Kehinde Bankole, Odunlade Adekola, Ali Baba among others.

The 2017 ELOY took place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
