Accelerate Studios to release cinema film 'All’s Fair in Love'

The romantic comedy features; Deyemi Okanlawon, Timini Egbuson, and Buhle Samuels in leading roles. Set against the backdrop of a complex love story between two business partners vying for the affection of the same woman, the film is poised to captivate audiences with its blend of friendship, rivalry, and romance.

In addition to its amazing lead actors, the film assembles a stellar cast including; Ireti Doyle, Juliet Ibrahim, Adedimeji Lateef, Beauty Tukura, Venita Akpofure, Kunle Bamtefa, Gbubemi Ejeye, Kenzy Udonsenm, Oprah Okereke and Timilehin Ojeola.

The film, produced by Esse Akwawa, Gloria Obichukwu and Deyemi Okanlawon, marks Accelerate Studio’s entrance into the cinematic space. CEO of Accelerate Colette Otusheso emphasises, "This collaboration underscores our commitment to diverse storytelling. 'All’s Fair in Love' is our first step into cinema, aiming to offer audiences an engaging experience to diverse, high-quality content that resonates with our audience through our unique African stories. We are thrilled to be working with our partners FilmOne and Covenant to bring this engaging story to the big screen.”

In response to inquiries about Accelerate Studios’ plans, Ms Otusheso shares, “Following the release of our debut cinema feature film, Accelerate Studios aims to expand its presence by fostering more collaborations within the Nigerian film industry. Collaborations are crucial in Nollywood to pool diverse talent, resources, and perspectives, ultimately elevating the quality of storytelling and production. We envision future partnerships that will contribute to the growth and innovation of the Nigerian film industry.”

Esse Akwawa, Head of Production at Accelerate Studios and Producer of All’s Fair in Love, sheds light on the casting process, stating, “This movie unfolds a beautiful narrative, with the cast delivering their best performances. Anticipate a mix of romance, drama, bromance, and betrayal, skillfully portrayed by our talented leading actors, Deyemi Okanlawon, Buhle Samuels and Timini Egbuson.”

All’s Fair in Love is a collaboration between FilmOne Studios, Accelerate Studios, and Covenant Entertainment. The film is slated for a nationwide release in cinemas from February 14, 2024.
