Jack Dorsey is known for his style prowess, but not even he can pull off flip-flop-style sandals in a work meeting.

The CEO of both Twitter and Square wore the curious footwear, which left nearly his entire foot exposed, during a talk with Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein at Twitter headquarters. A picture of Dorsey at the meeting in a pair of black sandals was tweeted by a Twitter employee, Brett Goldslager.

We get it: Dorsey comes from the super-laid-back San Francisco startup culture. But when the CEO of Goldman Sachs comes to your office, it may be time to at least cover your feet.

Blankfein, who is accustomed to wearing a full suit for work and interviews, had to lose not just his jacket but also his tie to blend in with Twitter's casual culture.

Laid-back dress codes are the norm now, but even they require standards. You shouldn't subject your office mates to your potentially unsightly feet — even if you are their boss.
