1. Facebook wants glasses or contact lenses to replace the smartphone. The social media company will begin its push into augmented reality through the smartphone but eventually wants people to get rid of the handheld device.

2. Oracle is buying analytics platform Moat. The startup is being acquired for an undisclosed sum and will remain independent, according to The Drum.

3. Facebook is reviving chatbots. After failing to get people to talk to bots, the social media company wants them to run in the background and only react when they can be of assistance.

4. Nielsen's total audience ratings say CBS, TBS, and ESPN are growing. The metrics track content consumption across multiple platforms and devices, Ad Week reports.

9. Tumblr is moving to live video and messaging. The company is launching a new app called Cabana which will allow up to six people to video chat at once, Ad Week reported.

10. Yahoo beat earnings expectations but nothing happened. The stock stayed mostly flat after its last earnings call before the Verizon acquisition closes.
