The half-court shot during breaks in basketball games is one of the greatest traditions in sports. The unlikely possibility of a fan hitting the shot is just enticing enough to keep fans engaged and entertained while broadcasts go to commercial.

On Thursday night, an Atlanta Hawks fan named Norman was granted the honor of attempting a shot with $10,000 on the line. He confidently took the ball, gave it a few dribbles, and ... awkwardly heaved the ball over his right shoulder using two hands.

Bang: $10,000 in his pocket!

The reaction from the fans in the crowd and the hosts on microphone are all fantastic, especially when the in-house announcer comes back on to scream, "OHHHHH. TEN BANDS. NORMAN."

As for Norman, all he could do was stand and take in the praise.

Hawks fans on Twitter also reacted with delight to Norman's success.
