Gombe lawmaker tells Nigerians to go back to God

Lidani said the country is spiritually challenged and needs God's mercy.

While contributing to a motion about the country's 57th independence anniversary sponsored by Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, Lidani said the country is spiritually challenged and needs God's mercy.

During the Senate's plenary session on Thursday, September 28, 2017, he said, "A lot of progress has been recorded in spite of the challenges. Nigeria is spiritually challenged.

"With all these crimes, where is the spirituality in us? We should come back to God, so God can have mercy on us."
