Musical play returns live to the stage

After 22 performances and 4 skits, Kakadu musical is now back and better

“Kakadu the Musical” is an exciting and spectacular musical play on love, conflict, friendship and tragedy. It is an exciting, inspirational and moving experience that uses Kakadu, the famous nightclub of the sixties as a backdrop for an era, which gave birth to wonderful music and the distinctive social life that followed the birthing of a young nation.

The story is told around the lives and loves of four friends from different tribes and backgrounds, making their way in Lagos, and their love interests. All are in search of love and happiness. It is the story of Lagos City.

“Kakadu the Musical” reaches boundaries never before attempted and does so in the most captivating way, blending different genre of music with national consciousness and development on the one hand and exciting dance and intense drama on the other hand.

Kakadu premiered on 9th May 2013 and till date, a total of 22 performances and 4 skits/exhibitions have been run. The musical has received fantastic reviews and critical acclaim from both local and international media, and has won awards and the commendations of many organizations
