Exam body orders all institutions to end 2017 admission by January 25

JAMB sets a deadline for institutions over admission as some candidates who have gained admission are yet to register.

The directive was announced by the Boards, Head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin while speaking with newsmen in Abuja on Thursday, January 18.

According to Benjamin, the Board's decision to see the end of the 2017 admission in all tertiary institution was made after a meeting where all issues bordering on admission was taken into consideration.

“By implication, candidates who have gained admissions into various institutions and are yet to register or do not have admissions by January 25 should begin to make preparations for the 2018 UTME.

“The public must also note that the UTME results are valid for only one year and not three years as widely speculated. “If changes are made on the validity, I assure you the board would communicate appropriately to the public.”

JAMB set to conduct mock exam this January

Meanwhile, the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has announced its readiness to conduct optional mock examination for UTME candidates in January.

The Board, therefore, advised candidates to register on time and make clear their choices of institutions.
