Provost warns new students against cultism
Prof Olire advised 511 new students to avoid cultism and examination malpractices during their matriculation ceremony.
Olire who spoke to the students during their matriculation ceremony on Saturday, March 3 advised them to shun vices and be diligent with their studies.
The College Provost also warned the freshers against examination malpractices which she said could derail the achievement of their goals in life.
She said, “You must take charge of any circumstance you find yourselves in and use it to your full advantage because this institution is a citadel for learning”.
Provost commends Governor and Commissioner for Education
Olire during the matriculation ceremony also acknowledged the effort of the Executive Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa for the ''giant strides of his administration in education especially in the payment of bursary and grant to the college''.
The Provost also praised the state Commissioner for Higher Education, Engr. Jude Sinebe and the school Governing Council Chairman, Prof. Samuel Aghalino, for ensuring that Delta College of Education is at par with its counterparts across the country.
Delta College of Education on Saturday, March 3, matriculated 511 students.
