Tijani Babangida tied the knot with popular actress Maryam Musa Waziri.

Former Super Eagles forward Tijani Babangida is now married to Maryam Musa Waziri.

According to several sources, Babangida married Maryam Musa Waziri on Friday, November 26, 2021.

The glamorous wedding was held in Kaltungo, Gombe State with several guests in attendance.

Babangida, who is now 48 years old, is the President of the National Association of Nigerian Professional Footballers (NANPF).

The former Ajax winger at the elaborate ceremony was also conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Baraden Wazirin Kaltungo.

Babangida's newly married wife is 29-year-old popular Kannywood actress, Maryam.

She has starred in several Kannywood movies after she got her first big break in 2015.

The Gombe State-born actress is now playing the role of Laila in Labarina, showing on Arewa24.

This is not the first time Babaginda is getting married. He was previously married to a Tunisian named Rabah, who is the sister of Daniel Amokachi’s wife.

Babangida was part of the Nigerian team that won the men's football event at the 1996 Olympic Games.

He featured for the Super Eagles from 1994 until 2004. Babangida featured for top sides such as Roda JC, VVV-Venlo, Ajax, Gençlerbirliği, Vitesse, Al-Ittihad and Changchun Yatai before he retired.
