Nigerian–American mixed martial artist (MMA) Sodiq Olamide Yusuff has given his thoughts on spanking children.

On Wednesday, December 15, 2021, Yusuff took to his official social media handles to explain his stance on parents spanking their children.
Before moving to the United States of America (USA), Yusuff was born in Lagos Nigeria.
Raised in a traditional African way, Yusuff who competes in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) does not see sense in why parents spank their children.
The UFC Featherweight division challenger responding to a video made his thoughts known in a message that said, "Growing up in a african household I use to make fun of white folk not spanking kids and talking/grounding them.
"Now I realize we was on some nut shit FR. Idk if I'll never spank my own but the idea don't sit the same anymore."
The 28-year-old who has a Blue belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the MMA fighters representing Nigeria in the UFC along with Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya and Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
Yusuff lost his light fight on April 10, 2021, against Arnold Allen via a unanimous decision in Las Vegas, Nevada.
