Stan Wawrinka's coach slammed Nick Kyrgios, saying the Australian needs a life lesson after a crude sledge.
Nick Kyrgios' choice words to Stan Wawrinka were well-publicised on Twitter - and that is where the tennis world reacted to the stunning sledge.
Kyrgios was heard to say: "[Thanasi] Kokkinakis banged your girlfriend. Sorry to tell you that, mate," in Wawrinka's direction during their Rogers Cup second-round clash in Montreal.
The reaction was one-way traffic.
Wawrinka's coach Magnus Norman, a one-time French Open finalist himself, responded: "That was really really low Nick Kyrgios. Hope for u that u have people around that will teach u a thing or 2 about life tonight. Very bad (thumbs down emoji)".
Victoria Azarenka, who earlier defeated third seed Petra Kvitova at the WTA Rogers Cup event played in Toronto, posted: "U have to respect ur opponent... Everyone has to... Always".
Kyrgios won through after Wawrinka retired while trailing 4-0 in the third set.
