Milos Raonic said Novak Djokovic made him feel disorganised and rushed during his Australian Open quarter-final loss on Wednesday.

The Canadian eighth seed never troubled Djokovic, suffering a 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 6-2 loss to the world number one on Rod Laver Arena.

Raonic's serve was tipped to be crucial to his chances, and he sent down 15 aces.

But his returning let him down, winning just 12 receiving points to put no pressure on the Djokovic serve.

"I think I just wish I could have played better," Raonic told a media conference afterwards.

"But other than that, I think he played well. He took the game and opportunities away from me.

"I think he just played a sound match. Nothing I can do other than go back and fix things."

Raonic held off Djokovic in the first set, but he was unable to take advantage in the tie-break.

Asked about how crucial the shootout was, Raonic said it was far from decisive.

"It obviously has an importance, but I think we're both at an experienced level where we can find our way around," he said.

"I don't think it's a deciding factor. I just think it gave him a bit more belief, and he didn't allow me to organise my game."

Raonic said he could have served better at key moments, but denied it affected the result.

"I wish I would have served better in certain moments, but I didn't lose because of my serve," he said.
