Wallabies Christian Lealiifano, Nick Cummins, Sean McMahon and Taqele Naiyaravoro have been released from the national team to allow them to play for the World XV against Japan.

Waratahs captain David Dennis and Queensland Reds centre Samu Kerevi have been added to the Australia squad for the Bledisloe Cup clash against New Zealand on Saturday.

A total of 14 Australians will be part of the World XV squad, who play on the same day.

Wallabies coach Michael Cheika said the game in Tokyo was a good chance for some of his players to get game time.

"We've travelled with an extended squad throughout the 2015 international season, so it's good for the players to get some quality game time in against a strong opponent like Japan," he said.

"David and Samu have spent some time with us throughout our campaign this season, and we are looking forward to seeing their progress."

Australia claimed a 27-19 victory over the All Blacks on Saturday to win the Rugby Championship.
