The Los Angeles Lakers blew out the Golden State Warriors 127-101 in the NBA Xmas game played on Wednesday, December 26.
Since LeBron James joined the Lakers they have emerged as title favorites and with a clash against Golden State Warriors scheduled for Christmas day, a mouth watering clash was expected.
The Lakers were victorious when both teams met in pre-season and repeated their heroics in their first meeting of the season.
LeBron sustained an injury in the third quarter of encounter but the young Lakers team did not shy away from the spotlight as they bullied the Warriors at the Oracle Arena.
Top performers for the Lakers were Kyle Kuzma with 19 points, Brandon Ingram with 14 points, while Rajon Rondo added 15 points and 10 assists.
They also restricted Kevin Durant to just 21 points while Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson both contributed 20 points together.
Kyrie Irving scored 40 points as the Boston Celtics beat the Philadelphia Sixers 121-114 in overtime with Marcus Morris and Jayson Tatum adding 23 points respectively.
James Harden was again the hero contributing 41 points as the Houston Rockets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 113-109.
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 30 points and 14 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks beat the New York Knicks 109-95.
While the Utah Jazz returned to winning ways with 117-96 win over the Portland TrailBlazers.
