West Indies seamer Kemar Roach will miss the final two Tests with South Africa and has been replaced in the squad by Kenroy Peters.
Roach suffered an ankle injury on the first day of the opening Test of the three-match series at SuperSport Park.
Denesh Ramdin's men went on to suffer a humiliating defeat, losing by an innings and 220 runs in Centurion as they laboured with both bat and ball.
The 26-year-old Roach has now returned home to continue his rehabilitation, with the West Indies turning to Peters to take his place in the attack.
Peters has impressed in first-class cricket, taking 190 wickets in 62 matches at an average of 20.21.
The second Test starts on December 26 in Port Elizabeth.
