Gary Player has backed four-time major winner Rory McIlroy to end his wait for a Masters title and complete a career Grand Slam in 2015.
McIlroy only needs victory at the Augusta National in April to have won all four major tournaments
Much has been expected of McIlroy since turning professional in 2007, but he has struggled at the Masters with his tied-eighth place this year his best performance.
However, Player " who won the iconic green jacket on three occasions " believes it is only a matter of time before McIlroy joins the list of European winners.
"Rory McIlroy has got so much talent, and not only has he got talent, he's a great man for golf, he's already won four major championships by the age of 25," he said.
"There is no question in my mind he will be the next winner of the career Grand Slam and he'll go on to win many more major championships.
"One can never predict how many, people were saying Tiger Woods would win 30 but nobody knows what is going to happen to your health, nobody knows what is destined for you in your career. But all being well he's going to win a lot of majors.
"I predict that he will do it [win the career Grand Slam in 2015] because the Masters is just made for him. There is no golf course I can think of that is made for him more than Augusta National."
McIlroy's first major win came at the US Open in 2011, followed by the PGA Championship a year later.
The 25-year-old won the latter for a second time this year after also lifting the claret jug at the Open in August " beating Rickie Fowler and Sergio Garcia by two shots.
