Wikki Tourist of Bauchi will kick-off search for a new coach following the resignation of Coach Abdul Maikaba after the end of the 2016 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

Maikaba led Wikki to a third place finish in the just concluded season which qualifies them for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.

The tactician has been linked with a move to 2015 NPFL champions Enyimba and FC IfeanyiUbah.

He is the third coach in Nigeria’s top division to have resigned following the end of the season.

Fidelis Ilechukwu left his post at MFM FC while Kano Pillars’ Mohammed Babaganaru also quit.
