Victor Osimhen

After leading the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria to win the just concluded FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, Victor Osimhen has reportedly agreed a move to English Premier League side, Tottenham.

Osimhen scored 39 goals in 71 games during the Golden Eaglets preparatory matches and the CAF U-17 Championship.

The 16-year-old also finished as the highest goalscorer at the World Cup and created history with 10 goals in seven games.

He was watched by top European sides at the tournament and it seems Tottenham as won the race to sign the striker as reports suggest he has agreed the move.

Spanish publication AS reports that officials of the North London club were in contact with representatives of the striker.

Osimhen won the Silver Ball (second best player of the World Cup) while his Golden Eaglets teammate and captain Kelechi Nwakali won the Golden Ball.

Nwakali is said to be targeted by Manchester City who also signed his elder brother Chidiebere along with Kelechi Iheanacho after their impressive outing for Golden Eaglets as they won the U-17 World Cup in 2013.
