Obafemi Martins is one of most traveled Nigerian player having played in Italy, Germany, England, Spain and currently in the United States, MLS.

Before his sojourn all over the world, Martins was first snapped up from Nigeria by Italian club side, Reggiana.

It was from Reggiana he first made his name as a youngster which earned him a move to Italian giants Inter Milan.

Our throw back photo of today shows Martins alongside another Nigerian player Ayo Makinwa during their Reggiana days in 2000.

In the photo Martins is seen on the back of Ayo Makinwa who is putting on a black shirt with a white short.

We found the photo on the Instagram page of Nigerian ace sports journalist, Oluwashina Okeleji.

"#tbt #Reggiana year 2000 ft. @obagoal, Makinwa, Olorunleke, Ikpe Ekong, Wahab, Ladi Martins," he wrote alongside the photo.
