Super Eagles Interim coach Austin Eguavoen has said the team will prepare for the final group game just as they did for the others.

Eguavoen made this clear at the pre-match press conference ahead of the clash with Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday.

"We are not going to take our foot off the pedal and we are going to approach this game with the same enthusiasm and passion as the last two games."

Once again, Eguavoen bemoaned the Eagles' finishing at the tournament. He however allayed fears as he feels the coaching staff has addressed this issue.

"Our main concern is that we create a lot of chances but putting them away is a bit of a concern but we have worked on that and we have improved because goals are [always] power," the former Super Eagles captain said.

The 1994 AFCON winner shed some light on possible changes in the squad to face Guinea Bissau on Wednesday.

"Expect a few changes because everybody that has come here is ready to play. I've always told them, your chance will come. Don't expect a massive change, but there will be one or two." Eguavoen said.

Chidozie Awaziem resumed training on Tuesday after missing the team’s opening two games due to a combination of illness and injury.

Eguavoen hinted at the possibility that the Anyalspor defender might feature on Wednesday.

“Awaziem was sick and had [an] issue with his ankle, it’s a bit difficult but we will see if he will be part of the team tomorrow," the former Super Eagles captain said.

The Super Eagles are already through to the round of 16 as they go into their final Group D match against the Djurtus of Guinea-Bissau.
