Rohr inspects Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna ahead of October home clash against Libya

According to several sources, Rohr will inspect two other stadiums around the country before making a final decision.

The Super Eagles will host Libya in Matchday three of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

Ahead of the qualifiers, Rohr is searching for a new home for the Super Eagles and inspected the newly renovated Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna.

The Super Eagles boss arrived in Nigeria for the first time since the World Cup and headed to Kaduna for the inspection.

He was with the second Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Mallam Shehu Dikko and Super Eagles Team Administrator, Dayo Enebi Achor.

After using the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo for Super Eagles home games during the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, the NFF are looking for another host.

According to several sources, Rohr will inspect two other stadiums around the country before making a final decision.

Ahmadu Bello Stadium overcrowded

The Super Eagles last played in Kaduna in March 2016 when the Super Eagles were held  1-1 by Egypt in the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.

That game was overshadowed by the overcrowding incidence which earned Nigeria a fine from the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

In March 2016, the stadium was the scene of potentially fatal overcrowding when an estimated 40 000 fans packed into the 16 000 capacity venue to see the Super Eagles take on Egypt in a 2017 Afcon qualifier.

CAF fined Nigeria N1.6m ($5,000) for because of the overcrowding and lack of security at the stadium as over 40, 000 cramped in the 16, 00 capacity stadium.
