President Muhammadu Buhari is set to host the players and officials of the Super Eagles who got to the final of the just concluded African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The Eagles lost at the final hurdle by four goals to tournament hosts Morocco, but will be received by the President upon their return to the country.
The president followed the Eagles progression throughout the tournament as he was pictured watching the Eagles quarterfinal game against Angola while at the .
The President also posted on his official Twitter handle to congratulate the Super Eagles after they defeated Sudan to progress to final.
"Congratulations to the home-based Super Eagles on their CHAN semi-final victory over Sudan tonight. Millions of Nigerians are rejoicing with you tonight, and eagerly looking forward to the final on Sunday. We are proud of you!"
The president may not have posted on social media after the Eagles loss in the Final, however according to a Complete Sports source the Presidency will host the Eagles in honour of their silver winning outing which is Nigeria's best at the Competition.
