The players are scared that the transition of governments in Ondo State will further delay their salaries.

Governor Mimiko’s government will soon give way to Governor-elect Rotimi Akeredolu.

In their last game before the protest, Sunshine Stars on Sunday, February 19, got an impressive 1-1 draw away at Nasarawa United FC in matchday nine.

They host Rivers United next on Sunday, February 26.
