Actions will go down in Serie A this weekend after the FIFA international break, the week 3 fixtures will have teams like Juventus, Pescara and Sampdoria hoping to continue their 100 per cent start to the season. Both Milan Giants, Inter and AC Milan, must shape up after a disappointing start; while the capital city teams, SS Lazio and AS Roma, must do better than their week 2 performances.

With victories in their two opening matches of 2016-2017 Serie A season, Juventus are high on confidence as they file out against a decent Sassuolo team at the Juventus Stadium in Turin. The Bianconerri will face a dispirited Sassuolo side who are still reeling after their accrued three points from the victory against Pescara was awarded to the newly promoted side because they (Sassuolo) fielded an ineligible player.

Pescara, on the other hand, are enjoying a near-perfect start to life in the top flight following their promotion last season. The Massimo Oddo tutored side pulled a surprise on the opening day of the season by recording a 2-2 draw against 'almighty Napoli', the team from Naples were trailing 2-0 at half time before they came back to salvage the game in the second half. Pescara will, however, have their hands full when they welcome a desperate Inter Milan side who are still in search of a maximum point under their new manager, Frank de Boer

Inter's city rival, AC Milan, also have to erase the memory of their abysmal performance against Napoli in the last round. Although ravaged by injuries and bans, the Rossoneri must grind out a positive result when they host 13th placed Udinese at the San Siro in Milan. The Udine-based side have had a tepid start to the season with a victory and a loss in their two opening games.

Luciano Spalleti's Roma face a stiff test when they welcome a resurgent Sampdoria side to the Stadio Olympico in Rome. The Genoa-based club have a new man in their dugout by the name- Marco Giampaolo, he has led them to two wins in their two games thus far, and they are prepped up to take the scalp off a Roma side who have had a shaky start to the season.

Across the city, SS Lazio will travel to Chievo  Verona hoping to recover from their disappointing loss at home to defending champions, Juventus, on matchday two. The Biancocellesti put up a great fight but lost the match 1-0 to a Sami Khedira goal. Both teams (Chievo Verona, SS Lazio) will be looking to pick their second victory of the season after their respective one victory and one loss in their opening two matches of the season.

Palermo are looking toward their new Coach, Roberto De Zerbi for inspirations following their poor start. The 37-year-old former Napoli player will make his debut against powerhouses Napoli and will be looking to impress hard-to-please Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini. Palermo lost their opening match 0-1 at home against Sassuolo and managed to hold Inter Milan to 1-1 draw at San Siro. Napoli on the other hand, have amassed four points so far in two matches.
