Samson Siasia says neither the state government nor the National Sports commission has called him

Coach of Nigeria U-23 side Samson Siasia has blasted the Federal Government for abandoning him after his mum was kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Bayelsa State.

Mother of the Dream Team IV coach, Madam Ogere Siasia was on Monday, November 16 abducted from her house in Odoni village, Saghama Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

According to several reports, the gunmen in the early hours of the day forced their way through the back door and took the woman before fleeing with a motorbike.

The kidnappers according to reports have contacted the family and are asking for a N150 million   ransom for the release of the 72-year-old woman.

Siasia said, his family was still negotiating his mother’s release but decried both the Bayelsa state and Federal government’s nonchalant attitude towards securing her mother’s release.

The coach who is currently in Gambia with his team says neither the state government nor the National Sports commission led by the new minister of sports, Solomon Dalong and the Director General of NSC, Mallam Al-Hassan Yakmut has called him or any of his family member to sympathize with them in this trying moment.
