Cardiff snaps Nigerian player from Newcastle

Sammy Ameobi will join the likes of Osaze Odemwingie as Nigerians who have played for the Welsh side


Nigerian player Sammy Ameobi has joined English Championship side Cardiff City on loan from Newcastle United.

The Welsh club announced the signing of the ex England youth - teamer after a series of report.

“We’re delighted to have Sammy on board, having hand-picked him specifically for his creativity and skill,” said Ken Choo to

“Sammy has Barclays Premier League experience to the tune of more than 50 top-flight appearances.

“We will continue to search for the right players who have specific skill sets and good character.”

The 23 - year - old Ameobi previously spent time on loan at Middlesbrough in 2013 and will join the likes of Osaze Odemwingie as Nigerians who have played for the Welsh side.
