The drama behind the non-payment of their salaries took a disappointing turn as the players took to the streets this week to protes.

Onazi who has been monitoring the situation from his base in Turkey has chosen to donate N1M to the players and N200, 000 to injured defender Onome Ebi.

“They need our love and support. I'm proud because they made it possible for us to celebrate success in Africa this year," the Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder said.

The 23-year-old has also been hugely involved with making sure that the girls are paid their entitlements.

According to top sources, the money (specific sum unknown) was used to buy Treasury Bills with a new generation bank which will mature in February 2017.
